WONDERFUL! Seems like your woman can't cook, your dog died, your bed is lumpy, you're all outta whiskey, and down to only one sock.
What, pray tell, is the name of your blues for game purposes?
And don't forget the screwdriver under the strings..... It worked pretty good for Gary Rossington.Excellent job Michael,, I have never done anything with a slide besides making some dumb noises,, but I think I need to give it a try, but I have to purchase a slide first.
So cool, that sounded like ... Wait a minute, you play lefty?!?Here's my "Slide" submission ...

From a 1999 Guitar Player magazine article. Quoting the man himself:And don't forget the screwdriver under the strings..... It worked pretty good for Gary Rossington.

If anyone is wondering why yet no counterattack in the sapient vs RVM RiffMasters Guitar duel, I can only speculate possible reasons:
1. RVM is now waiting at the infamous crossroads, 'bout ready to fall upon his knees. Sapients' deep-delta weep 'n moan has him that shook. Hopefully knowing Willie Brown may pay off soon
![]()
2. RVM is a relatively happy dude. Financially secure, confident, no addiction problems and loved by many. This results in big trouble mustering up any kind of blues mojo like most others easily can
![]()
I wrote a song a few years back on that theme... forgive me for dropping it here, seems appropo
3. RVM remains stuck on the two crucial decisions all are are forced to ponder before playing a proper blues A. A clever bluesman name, and B. Which style of hat can project the most downtrodden "man of many troubles" blues cred
![]()
Since I am known by all to be a helpful sort, I suggest a few bluesman handles he may consider, if appropriate:
Slow Moe Malmsteen
'Fraidykat Randy
Tic-Toc Van Yellabelly
Just funnin' ya @Randy Van Malmsteen, we can do that here.
I expect the same back from you!
From what we've all heard from RVM heretofore, we can be very sure whatever he's cookin' up against sapients' wise, skillfully dealt authentic/trad approach won't be a weak-armed girlie slap.

He probably hasn't even been 'on'.
