Announcing... RiffMasters!

ATTENTION ALL RIFFMASTERS AND RIFFMASTERS-IN-WAITING!

Today I clang the "One week remaining for Main Event #2 submissions" bell. (Plus a day).

Valuable RiffMasters points are just layin' on the table right there in front of you! Do the work, scoop 'em up.

No obligation to enter, but an automatic 5 points for any one "Folk'd Up" entry, an extra 3 if you do both styles.
You can also still grab up a single point with a 1:00 punk-out as well, before the round ends January 25th.

Happy days !
My long lost Mojo has arrived!
Adjustments will be made.
Speaking of, yesterday I made a bit of a mess of my song in Reaper.
I was so pissed. I went to work on the bass (prepare to be under whelmed)
Struggling with the wi-fi internet due to weather. I have about 10 tracks. Not all being used but I did assign colors to each one.

I had done some subtle melodic stuff toward the end and I forgot I left the record button engaged. After several takes I realized it but not before deleting and saving. Oops. Drawing board but I'm up with the MOJO!

Be amused by my inadequate skill. Lol
:BH: :notes:

Oh man, I've done that! Or some horrible track alignment/timing issue you can't recover from, bad tuning that wrecks everything.

But... in my limited experience I have found a couple times starting from scratch once you know the parts better, can really work too. Recording a well-rehearsed song vs building/assembling a song on the fly from bits... Both methods can work, one is a lot easier.

Yessir @Mitch Pearrow SJMP - you got into a sucky situation, and absolutely nobody would disagree with an allowance given if you put in the effort to catch up. You joined the game early. I would also do the very same for @mcblink and @LRT - if they had equally unfortunate situations, and we all still earnestly hope to see them again.

It's just too bad, (probably good for the rest of us) that you missed a vote. If you want to do a tappy-tap, absolutely you can have a point there too! I just ask you get everything you are eligible for in before the end of this round, to keep the next round cleaner.

You're a workhorse behind the guitar. I'm sure you've been rehearsing, maybe even recording stuff anyway, have it ready to upload.
We all look forward to what you bring. You are eligible to submit the following if you can do it, all to be minimum 1:00 in length

"Opening Act" one of the first three songs you learned
"Tappy-Tap"
Folk-> Rock song
Rock -> Folk song
Punk'd up

Everyone prepare to be assaulted by a veritable "Festival of Mitch!"

Will there be T-shirts?

I totally agree. My method on tracks is I usually try do an entire guitar vs segments. I see why segments is a better way. It is well rehearsed indeed. Lol

Thank you Brad , unfortunately none are ready to go, but I will be working on the project for the next couple of nights.
And I will post them, to keep up to date now.
And for the rest of the game.
