Boy, that one takes me back to my younger days... Tesla, Love Song!Quite possibly the only slow song I know?
Yep, good 'ole Mr. Crowley! The Phaser phone sneaks it naughty way in sometimes!.... Not sure why.

True, indeed... Candlemass is essential Swedish Doom1. There's a cry from the crypt
2. Solitude
3. Ancient dreams
4. Mirror mirror
5. At the gallows end
All from the band known as Candlemass.
One of my all-time favorites!

Following up on your comment about how a riff can be played many different ways, this is one is a great example: Heart of Gold by my fellow Ontarian Canuck renegade Neil YoungOk. Here is one I did a while ago.
I did it with a good amount of gain. Maybe @Headache will get it.
More catching-up... Papa Clapton's Tears in HeavenApparently I know 2 slow songs!
Speaking of which. Many months ago I mentioned Gordon Lightfoot. I’ve played at his tunes for years. Ramo challenged me to dirty up Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald…… which only has 4 chords repeated over and over for like 10-15 minutes….. I’ve really tried and so far all I’ve come up with is a louder clean version of the song.Following up on your comment about how a riff can be played many different ways, this is one is a great example: Heart of Gold by my fellow Ontarian Canuck renegade Neil Young
Oh yeah…. And there was no chance of slipping this one past me. I’ve been a Neil Young devotee since the original Woodstock. I rode around town in the early 70s with a young lady by my side listening to this 8 track. Still think about her every time I hear Heart of Gold. And no. She is not the current Mrs. IbLive that’s been married to me since 1978. (Actually started dating in 74) She went off to college and missed this boat.Following up on your comment about how a riff can be played many different ways, this is one is a great example: Heart of Gold by my fellow Ontarian Canuck renegade Neil Young
True enough, but this is a case of taking a song and embellishing a good bit. Yes, the basic song is still in there, but not quite the same.Following up on your comment about how a riff can be played many different ways, this is one is a great example: Heart of Gold by my fellow Ontarian Canuck renegade Neil Young
I remember that discussion.Speaking of which. Many months ago I mentioned Gordon Lightfoot. I’ve played at his tunes for years. However, check out the group Disturbed on You Tube doing it. It’s pretty good!
And in my feeble mind. That’s the difference between doing a cover and doing a tribute. A cover you can make it your own. I really like what you did.True enough, but this is a case of taking a song and embellishing a good bit. Yes, the basic song is still in there, but not quite the same.
I have the same school of thought. And in my feeble mind. That’s the difference between doing a cover and doing a tribute. A cover you can make it your own. I really like what you did.
Awesome riff and well done, but I will be damned if I can remember the title, give me a minute.....and another...
