Holy crap....I was led to believe that these were not available anywhere. The entire bias pot board is an available replacement part.
You don't have to solder it if you really don't want to.

I've used wires to replace burned traces on boards.Out of curiosity, as I'm sure you've seen this happen before, what happens if someone destroys the board and there's no replacement? Probably a matter of cannibalizing another dead amp's parts? NOS parts?outtaluck?
I don't think those cost a lot.Holy crap....I was led to believe that these were not available anywhere.
Thanks a million bro, that makes me feel better about giving it a go, because if all else fails and I really goof it up, there's still hope!
...I expect it's probably not too cheap though...but IT EXISTS!!
IT is well documented in the annals of TTR that I HATE soldering -- with a red hot passion (lol)
It is the bane of man and a tool of the devil and can be traced to all things wrong in the world (Kinda like a Kevin Bacon thing but takes more steps)
That said if AMS would like to ATTEMPT to teach me how to do this evil (though the duct tape co. is going to drop market share if I do) ---I would be HAPPY to attempt the course.
What say you all --- the poll is open (no strip dancing please unless you are hot of course.....then well go right ahead)
What say you AMS --- think your MAD enough to try?
Could a person use a dremel for that kind of thing to avoid the burning?
this one REALLY gets in there and does great damage

It did work, and years later it's still working. That won't work.
The black carbon on the board - is conductive.
All the black carbon must be removed completely.
Resistance soldering unit. Got a ground and electrode. The point of most resistance (point of soldering) is what heats up.WHAT THE FLYING F**** is that?!?!?!?
If you end up with something that looks like this, you're in chubbleIf you end up with something that looks like this, you're in trouble...
