Amplifier service

Microphonics type of feedback is mostly related to a goofy preamp tube. Did the amp get worse after the new power tubes were installed?

Unusual smells coming from the amp after it's up to temperature?

Swapped all the tubes?

What brand(s) of tubes?

Double checked that 5751? Replace with known good 12AX7?

LED light: Not a clue! House voltages OK?
Thanks.

So does anyone here service their amp periodically, or do you all wait for an issue to arise?

DonP n I went around the barn so to speak on that amp. My blind friend left the amp on and a cover over it for like 3 days. Turns out he friend the power tubes. I put 2 new ones in after testing it with 2 off one of my amps.

There is a JVM forum online. Someone there might have had a similar problem.
I am a member. I really do not have an issue. The JVM forum has much about "taming the beast" for high gain feedback, but my issue is on the clean channels with pedals.

It’s used to log the voltage measurements on the amp, and to compare to what they are supposed to be.
I have one for my home brew 18 watt.

Good luck with the tech. I've bias my DSL15C and my Super Reverb. You might just need new power tubes. If you feel more comfy having a tech check your amp is probably a good idea. I have never been shocked with any of my amps or gear. I'm very careful. These guys who wrote on here they were shocked were very lucky. There is some high voltage DC going on in these.
