It is one of my, very few, unmolested guitars. Yes...I still like it just as it was made. Mine came with Burstbucker Pro pickups, and I liked them so much that I installed one in another guitar(bridge position) pretty quickly.

My 2018-2019 LP Traditional’s both have the Burstbucker pickups in them, (would have to check if they are the pros) but they are great sounding to me, and not muddy like a lot of what I had always thought of gibsons Pickup’s , as for Agile or Epi, I have purchased about 4 Epi LP’s
They look and sound great, the only Agile I have ever played is the one I got from Chris here on the forum, but it is not the LP version...

from what I am reading these are likely Burstbucker Pro pickups.
I want a PAF type and I think these are in the ballpark with A5 magnets.

i'm more nervous about it getting here safely, in the condition described and has no structural / neck problems, than I am excited about a new guitar.
 
I like Gibson pickups for humbuckers.
My funnest one is the Gibson Angus Young PU, although the spacing of the poles is really for SG.
Many people have said they like Burstbuckers...
Gibson seems to be (for tube amps) best output, less noise, and less microphonic than other PUs.

So if you want to remove your Burstbuckers and trade for Duncans, I would rather have the Gibson PUs.

Absolutely. Gibson humbuckers are the original humbuckers anyways. Other companies make some great ones as well though that i love ,but i favor the regular Gibsons. The Angus Young is heavily based upon the 57 Classic Plus but a lil hotter wound, which both are great pickups ( i have a 57 classic plus in the neck of 335 copy and its very smooth and responsive), the bridge is a Burstbucker 2 which is like a 57 Classic but with more low end and mids.
 
Congrats JT that is a SWEET axe--dont sweat the pups--- if you like the sound they make WHOI CARES What names on them --

if you dont like em swap em --- guitar madness gutiar fetish GFS all -- Duncan -- Dimarzzio -- etc etc

the name stamped on it doesn't GURAANTEE the tone you want ---

What I have found is these are likely the stock pickups, even better.
I would prefer it unmolested.
Our UPS is usually late afternoon; see the "signature required".
My wife has appt. that will take about 1-1/2 hours from noon, so hope this works out.
At times I think I was born under a bad sign - like Albert Kings sings. Hope I'm wrong today.

Congrats! Nice score. I think you have bought the correct guitar. If you ever want to sell it, you will have no problems. It is much easier to sell a Fender or Gibson than other brands.

GIbson pickups are my favorites. I'm a Marshall sound fan. A Marshall with a set neck guitar and Gibson pickups are the heaven IMHO.

I agree on the resale, especially for a guitar I cannot try first.
This is one of the leading factors in my decision.

I'm really hoping this all works out, and especially to get hands on what the 50's neck profile really is.
I dont hate thin necks and would not be a deal killer on its own, but my preference is more rounded.

I could have bought the Agile and returned it if I did not like it; I know the window is slim but I know what is go / no-go for me.
Mainly the 10+lb. weight and to a less extent the thinner neck profile (and the available color choices, but with an * as very secondary.

I weighed some of my guitars and at 9 lb. the SX Liquid is about as heavy as I would get on with.

Gibson into Marshall: Thats where I'm hoping to be with this and my recent RR JCM800 Micro build, as well as my 18w TMB build.
I am thinking about adding the Lo input jack I omitted on the Micro which drops out the first gain stage for more output tube gain relative to pre-amp vs. the cascaded 2 triodes of the HI input.

Maxing the MV and going easy on the pre-amp volume works pretty well for now though.
I may re-work this into more of a PLexi circuit since thats really what I'm after; using the Lo input may be the ticket; not sure about the circuit component value differences.

I have a big hands. The neck profile type it's not a problem for me. But I prefer thin necks because are a bit faster. My gibson's('18 LP classic, '12 LP standard, '16 Explorer) are '60 slim tapper profile type neck. But they don't have exacly the same neck profile. Don't get me wrong '50 neck profile is great.
The most important on a solid body guitar for me it's his balance (no neck dive). Of course his sound and feel are very important. A guitar with a great sound and feel but with neck dive it's not a guitar for me.
Color? It's a secondary thing for me.

I'm shure your amps will sound amazing with your LP.
Adding a low input or a switch to get two different guitar inputs always it's a good deal.IMG_20210128_195737_662.jpg
 
Wife says it is delivered and the box looks fine.
Shipped from Texas Mon, got to NJ yesterday, so it has been in the cold for about 36 hrs.
It has been right around freezing the last day.

Not sure how long I should let it sit indoors to acclimate.
I was going to open it outside to check for damage, but I dont know.

I don't know but I would say a couple of hours. But you can check It outside your house. Best of luck.
 
ok, it arrived safely, I let it sit 2 AGONIZING hours inside then brought it down to my play space in the basement.
It is 58 °F and dry unless I turn on the heater.

It is as described and seems to be in good order but I will examine it more closely over the weekend and post a NGD thread.
So far I am very happy, but more relieved I dont have any hassle over shipping damage or it is not as the seller described.
Has some scratches (one big one on the front - which shows in seller pics) and small dings, etc.; it is a 2007.

First impression of the build quality and feel of my first Gibson is very good. Muahahahhaa!
Not sure about the pickups yet as I will tinker, but I am not wow'd.
Very bright and seems short on midrange as it came out of the (Martin) box.
