Ace or Tommy

Love the solo about 2 min in on Speeding Back----- Great stuff......

Talented dude---

I never followed Kiss really. They caught my attention with "Lick It Up" and "Heaven's On Fire." Stanley's vocals on Lick It Up were fantastic.

Who was their guitarist on these later recordings???

Lick it up was Vinnie Vincent I believe and Mark St. John on Heavens on Fire--- I THINK --- this is from FOGGY --- drug induced High School era memory ---- both albums where very "pop" and main stream---

Once they took thye amke up off --- they got rather "bee bop" and Poison ish in my mind ,.....
For those not in the Know
Poison

Strange that their song refers to a corpulent femme, but alas, there is no representation of said femme in the video....a quandary of sorts.

All you guys and gals don't know anything!!! We all know deep down that Vinnie Vincent was the BEST guitar player that KISS ever had! He was a legend in guitar shredding and was like a Randy Rhoads duplicate. He had many talents like songwriting and singing. This guy was in a class of his own.:dood:

Here's Vinnie Vincent's past guitar playing melodies with different bands throughout the years.

And here's the best guitar solo in the universe and he even uses a microphone on his guitar...how ingenious!

So Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick do not even get entered in the race?

Hell, even Robben Ford played on "Creatures of the Night"! Lots of great guitarists have done work for Kiss (Eddie Van Halen played, along with his brother Alex, on some demos for "Love Gun"), but there is only one Ace.

Since I was never a part of the KISS Army and never listened to them as a kid, I’ve never been really ivensted in the group.

So, to me Tommy and Eric simply replaced Ace and Peter.

This prompts a question, what would be the reaction among the the KISS faithful if Tommy and Eric had donned different makeup, like Vinnie Vincent had done, and not used the same as Ace and Peter before them?

Tommy and Eric should have different make-up on period because the whole KISS band is just half a cover band. It's not all the real KISS members like it was from the beginning. Gene Simmons most of the time just thinks about how much money he can make and that's not real rock 'n' roll.

Ace all the way.Plus he wrote the song Shock Me
I quoted Johnny just so I could "Like" this again.

I saw Kiss once, first concert MSG NYC, around 1977.
Looking for this I think it was 2/18/77.
My uncle took me for my birthday - which is in March.

It shocked me
made me feel better.
So, yeah - ACE!

And yeah the other guys are ok too but should have been different characters.
