Ace or Tommy

the question is. Ace or Tommy. Not which one is the better guitar player. But which one do you like better.

Example. Gary Richrath, early guitar player for REO Speedwagon. Maybe not the greatest player to pick up a guitar, but for me being an REO fan. My opinion is that REO was never the same after he left. What he may have lacked in talent, he made up with heart and soul.

With that in mind. My ears aren’t smart enough to tell Ace and Tommy apart when listening to an album. However. Watching videos. I just like Ace better. Can’t really explain it.

ACE hands down he was my introduction to Les Paul's.
Tommy is a skilled player and from what I hear an all-around great guy unlike some things I've heard about Ace.... I liked his work in other bands I believe he was in black and blue which was a favorite band of mine in the 80's 90's somewhere in there
But for me Ace and Peter all part of the original lineup will always be KISS....the rest are just business partners....hired guns......employees..

Ace. I saw them during Reunion Tour. I wouldn't pay a penny for any replacements. I'd rather see Ace and Peter without Gene and Paul.

Ace, of course. Not because there is anything wrong with Tommy Thayer (technically a far superior guitarist), but come on. Only Ace is Ace. It’s like collecting records. The sound quality might be better on a new remastered 180 g vinyl edition of the Beatles’ «Revolver», but I’d rather have the original pressing.

Yep. And only Ace is the original Space Man.

Probably should have. My bad. (y)
No worries. I barely know what I am talking about. I only learned of Tommy, Vince and Bruce by a Google search to see what you fellas were talking about. I only know Ace's name, but never paid attention to his work as a guitarist.

Look into it--- he doesnt suck--- See if you can find the full album--- not a stinker on it----

I'm not really a Kiss fan but I would choose Ace because when I think of Kiss it's the original 4 members.

I got to see Frehley's Comet open for Iron Maiden at Joe Louis Arena in 1988. The only Kiss song he played was Cold Gin. It was pretty cool for this 17 year old kid!
