Naptha to get the crud off. Then it depends on the shape of the finish. Howard's Restore-a-finish, Howard's Feed-N-Wax (pictured in Col. M's post), Merguire's fine mist detailer are all good depending on the need. Not to be a party pooper, but I actually do need to clean my new USED NOT Ibanez guitar.
Essentially it looks like a dusty mess but the finish of the guitar is in good shape under the crud.
What do most of you use to clean off basic dusty non sticky dirt without messing up the nitro finish before applying a protective coating like wax or whatever?
Very nice Sir!! Did I miss an NGD thread?

Car wax it is for me. I used Turtle wax to Blue Coral and now Derr Stuff and the way from Germany.
Fender puts car paint on their guitars and Gibson will go with what ever sounds fancy. I can't get my Les Paul in the garage and need to leave on the street over night. No big deal, it's good to go and looks like it just did a best in show in a $2.00 dog show.
