It's a heck of a lot better now. In the 70s: Mel Bay, Book 1... individual notes leading up to... "Over the meadow and down the lane". I quit when I was 8 (1973). I wanted to play something else. I bought a electric when I was 13 (1978), took a lesson and learned 5 chords. What a difference.
Now: wanna learn a song, wanna learn theory...youtube kills it.
I just picked up (most) of Black Sabbath N.I.B. bass line -- and except for the end bit where Geezer goes GONZO -- Ive go it---took 30 minutes-----and I could now hold my onw on "jam night" with this one----- but its only bass............thats easy ----right![]()
Wish I’d have taken lessons when I started playing. Had I, Mary Had A Little Lamb might not be the only song I can play.
