$ 450 pickups in a $ 200 guitar

Yah, bikes will get you in trouble. The worst injuries I've ever had, worst than from skating, came from mountain biking. Don't do that much any more either, and also miss it. Never got the urge to ride a motorcycle.

I'm the opposite, back in 64 I broke my right arm while skating and never did it again, too dangerous.
Ten years later I was racing bikes, crashed at high speed often, worst injury was dislocated shoulder.
Hay Adrian I also have news cuttings, surname covered ;-)

I aint hiding .......Im right here in plain swamp--- come get me ;)

Actually i was just to lazy to scribble it out ............

Besides my endearing fans like a trail to follow--and we all know JOnes and SMith are aliases anyway

Remember the show "Alias Smith and Jones?"

At 15 I bought my first, a used 1976 RM125.

Binelli's!! My buddy a couple of those dirt bikes. Pretty junky quality but they were fun.

Among others, I had a used RM 250, `79 1/2; they had a swingarm change or something mid model year. I bought that around '84 I think.
Good bike but couldnt keep up with the mono shock boys on the whoop de doos.
Snapped the right footpeg clean off landing a jump, rapped my nuts hard on the tank on the way down, and the rest was a tumbling dance of man and machine for several yards.

After some soul searching staring up at the sky, (I thought I was paralyzed at first) I got up, not seriously injured. The handlebar and controls were pretty mangled up but workable. Rode it home fixed it up and thought a lot about what had happened.

Found a great deal on a new leftover '85 CR500!@! (last air cooled model was not in vogue).
Once I broke it in and opened it up on a gravel road, it was the only time I was truly scared (for a bit anyways) at the speed.
Didn't get to ride nearly enough as a young adult with responsibilities.
Missed it.

so I bought a .....
JET SKI !! - the real kind you stand up on.
Great fun, almost drowned jumping waves in the surf more than once.

Then somewhere along the way I got married, had kids and grew up I guess.
Wish I could have it both ways.

Good for you Ray. To me the Squire sounds good, like the colours, If you want to spend that much for pups on a cheaper guitar all the power to you. For me I would rather pay more for a guitar with good sounding pickups from the get go. I don't care to put expensive pups in a cheaper guitar in case I want to sell it. I am not interested in switching out pups on guitars I might sell. Out of the three guitars I own, I love the pups in each of them and would not change them. To me I have had $200 guitars and even though they play good, I find they don't play anywhere as good as my $1000 guitars, so I buy more expensive guitars to get the better quality pups , hardware etc .:)

Raybert......................what is this thing in the output jack of the glitter lovely Squire?

Nope. It is a wireless trabsmitter. No cord to amp. A similar looking device, a receiver, goes in the amp.

Last week,, I sold a pair of PRS 53/10 pickups for $ 450. Don't worry, I have a more. This is one such pair.

These pups presently occupy a H-S-H Squire Affinity Strat. The 53/10s are the neck and bridge humbuckers, The middle pickup is a Bill Lawrence (Wilde Pickups) L45S. The clip is as follows:

Neck & Middle

So, what do you think of this tonewood these pickups?

Really clear and crisp, yet not at all harsh or brittle sounding....

those look the cats pajamas!

no noise??? no static? no airport landing instructions or dreaded HUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM?
Nope. They word great. 4 channels to choose from - and it even has a boost on the trasmitter (which I did not care for).

I have repaired these when the antena came loose, but now it is on there good!! Battery life is about 2 hours and the units charge with a micro USB cord, same one your cell uses. You will like it.

They are already packed and ready to go out to you
