I have to say, I don't share that opinion. Obviously because I keep buying the things haha, but really, when I look around at what you get for the money with other makers I find them to be excellent value. The nitro finishes alone are worth a huge premium over the plastic coating you get with most makers IMO. As for the head angle, I agree an argument could be made but in all the years of my playing guitar I have found that the fear of a headstock break is much much greater than the reality of a headstock break. They do happen, but nowhere near the frequency people would have you believe in my experience. That being said, my favorite Gibson necks by far are the-degree, 3-piece maple necks on Norlin-era Les Pauls.
