2016 Gibson 50's Tribute Les Paul

Will you be putting Throbaks in there?

Edit: Brainfart. You already said you ordered Burstbucker Pros...

I got the Burstbucker Pros really cheap....I want to keep this all Gibson, expect for the harness of course and the copper. I also ordered a reproduction Norlin-Era ashtray for the switch, which saves copper tape.

Spreading the Disease ;) .....lol

Congrats man I hope she is a goodun----looks nice......but look put the .000005" caliper thing away and just PLAY it ;)

They actually measured it on video. Plus it has the correct part number GLPST5HSE - and it comes with the original Green Keys - my favorite!!!!

If ya don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.

@Don O - don't know why stuff like this pops up in my head, but your phrase turned into this:

If ya don’t know where you’re going, then any road will get you there.

If evil seeds you're sowing, then into nothing goes your share,

It's not the light that blinds you, in quiet anonymity,

The road that leads to nowhere, is the safest place to be...

These are really nice, and I've also thought of getting one. But, I had an SG tribute with the same black satin finish and it came off in lumps when rubbing against the strap, etc, so I outed it... I hope you like yours with the new harness and puppies in it.

Hey! I have no idea how that finish will hold up, but honestly, the polished lacquer on my 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio T is incredibly fragile.

I had a brand new 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute Goldtop but it had a wavy fretboard - almost scalloped in some places - so I got rid of it. If it wasn't for the fact the frets needed to be pulled and the fretboard planed, I would have kept it and replaced all the electronic components.

Take a look at this section of the fretboard on my Goldtop I bought last year. The frets were so uneven they raised the action to compensate:

And I'm posting these photos of the Goldtop for the guys who told me that it had to be a "Chibson" because Gibson would never allow anything like that to go out the doors:

I hope the Burstbucker Pro Pickups will be a good approach. I want more character and less gain out of this Les Paul - something right in the middle between these two tones.
