You make contradictory points. Perhaps, with some overhauling, and not accepting guitars as each having ONE sound each, you would have liked it and you would find more guitars to your liking. There is no out-of-the-box individual suitability. Oh, and there is no "Jr. Sound" - it is mostly the pickups ...and the pickup height of course.

maybe I WANT to accept each as it is --- because --- if I do-- and I dont like one---it leaves and another takes its place, maybe it stays maybe not.....time and its tone will tell me.

Always a catch.
Besides I do that poop every day.
Without the fishnet stockings.
At least the martinis have her out cold at the moment.
 
So one of us gets a guitar and mods/adjusts the living Hell out of it until it is just so.
One of us gets a guitar and gets rid of it if you don't like it and gets a different one.
One of us plays the same guitar for the entire gig, every song, and it works fine.
One of us says the guitar is just a pitch controller for the pedals and amplifier.

I know I just made a point but for the life of me I can't figure out what that point is.
