Epiphone Coronet Electric Guitar

Every major pickup manufacturer makes them they are hardly dead, useless or non functional.

This certainly doesnt suck

DAMN I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Ray.....while you may not like them ----- there are a lot of folks who do---- many of them made the music that moved generations......and created the foundation of rock ----

Dont piss on the dog ear----just because YOU dont like that you cant adjust it.......

are you able to adjust the timing on your car? OR do you have to take it to mechanic with a computer to do so ??? Does this make the car crap?

Do you own a Dogear P90 guitar----perhaps you need to experience one before slaying the unkown dragon----

Yep----this song totally SUCKS--- if he would just LIFT those DAMN PICKUPS 2/64ths of an inch!!!!! UGH it is HORRIBLE

Speakin of P90 Dogear pickups,i got a brand new set of nickel plated metal covers for a Casino id sell . These are to be soldered on like a Hummy pup cover

So one of us gets a guitar and mods/adjusts the living Hell out of it until it is just so.
One of us gets a guitar and gets rid of it if you don't like it and gets a different one.
One of us plays the same guitar for the entire gig, every song, and it works fine.
One of us says the guitar is just a pitch controller for the pedals and amplifier.

I know I just made a point but for the life of me I can't figure out what that point is.
I know what the point is - some of these fellows are right and some are WRONG!

I can live and let live. This all comes from the fact that I wanted to buy that SG from esge and he had to go make dog ear holes in that beautiful top. Everyone else, please enjoy your non-functional dog ears!

UH---looks like JOHN MAYER---might actually own one.............
I would own one too if I got it for free. then I would make the obligatory public appearance with it. then i would mod it so that it was adjustable.

Hmmm...
Miranda Lambert in that picture somehow
looks way better than I thought she did.

...and no, it's not the pink Wildkat.

Would REVOLUTION have sounded the same on a guitar with adjustable pickups?
Ray, your splitting hairs that don't require splitting.

Im going to BLOW your mind now-------I have owned the Epiphone SIlverburst for 5 years now----- I have NEVER adjusted the pick ups--- not one turn.......I LIKE the way it sounds as it sits----why dick around with it????
The Peavey Shredator --- plugged it in -- LOVE the way it sounds---- not touching the pups---- I have absolutely zero desire to change or alter them--- they sound the way they sound---- if I didnt like it I would change it but if I get one I like I leave it be.

You want to come adjust the pups on the guitars now dont you???? ITs going to eat at you-----you'll think of it a week from now---- or everytime you see the pics....

LOOK RAY Virgin unmolested pups -------- oh the tonal adjustment possibilities......

Your self imposed ignorance does not blow my mind, it just makes me sad.

wow...............that statement alone shows where the ignorance is.
It sounds good, but you refuse to see if it will sound better, even though you own and know how to use a screwdriver, and you can return it to the way it was just as easily if you do not like it. Are you sure it is me who has the issue?

Now Now boys, there just guitars. No right or wrong.I know we all got strong things we take as right and wrong on guitars and other things but shouldnt let it become personal. Why i never discuss religion or politics :) Hey the Ambassador of Chill has to earn his keep right ? :)

I figure it like this, if it's your guitar have at it and do with it what ya feel like doing, whether that be nothing or everything. I mean if you like it the way it is cool, if you want to strip it to the wood and replace everything cool. Tweak it, don't tweak - no big thing either way as far as I can tell. I'm not thinking there is a right/wrong or correct/incorrect type thing here. Just like styles. Some people are into neo classical and others are into one or two notes or decent melodic line. Or recording. Some people need every blooper removed and others thank your ruin it if you removed the bloopers. Is either right/wrong or correct/incorrect? Not as far as I know or care for that matter. To me music and guitars are meant to be enjoyed and different people enjoy it differently and for different reasons. Ya, I know, what do I know - lol...

Wow, this is also a list of people who made this money with a limitless amount of guitars, mixing boards, session artists, producers, retakes. So much for the raw sound of your dog ear.

Oh, and it is also a list of people who primarily played guitars other than dog ears, except maybe Lennon, who I have never seen as held out as the shining example of guitar prowess. "Yes, I go for that John Lennon sound. You know, scratchy rhythm covered by vocals and a better guitarist."

Owegi ive did all of the above you mention lol.Now for what ever reason ive not touched or modded my 2 Teles cept new strings.the rest well they been modded here and there.

Now to me personally i really love these ahhhh, well less than stellar singers and guitars and there unique sound how ever the heck they got it.Ya got Lennon,Richards,Neil Young ect. Love them.I can hear 2 notes and sometimes 1 note of a song and tell ya who it is. I never listen to Malmsteen,Vai,Satchmo ect.these guys are master guitar players but i just dont dig it.Maybe i dont like shred hell i dont know.Give me ACDC. I guess i dont like perfection and i like unique.Just a personal thing. Well i do like some good players too. Eddie Van Halen i like and others. Anyone like John Fogerty ? Tom Petty ? Now Petty probably falls into the Lennon,Neil Young section but Forgerty is really under rated. Ive typed enough,im gonna need a secretary.

That makes two of us. Some guitars and bass's (amps too as far as that goes) I can't keep from messing with and others I don't do much but clean 'em and change the strings once in a while. I've broke a strat in half and then used tin and nails to connect the halves of the body back together and then use black tape to wrap up the whole body - lol - funny how some people just luv'ed it. My Gibson M2 (the green slime) has the original pickups back in it, which means the only thing I've changed are the tuners - great as is. Didn't need to change the tuners, I just wanted the classic klusons with the black buttons is all.

Three alien thumbs up for John Folgerty...
