Got this info from the MyLesPaul forum. I copied the pictures of the individual pages. There is 35 pages. Pages 19 & 20 are missing.

I have all these pages assembled in a single pdf file, but it's 16mb of data. I don't think I can upload a link to my pdf file.

First 10 pages:

Nice! I have catalogs that date back to the late 70s and early 80s, but nothing that goes back nearly as far.

Interesting how the Les Paul Standard is described as being a goldtop with two humbuckers, and the picture is still of a goldtop with P90s.

Specifications may have changed, or a mistake. Remember, they put those together by hand. Cutting and pasting had a different meaning. I was checking out the LP too. I missed that.

Also interesting to note that they have outpaced inflation a bit, but not by as much as you might think:
The Les Paul Standard with case is listed as $289.50, which would be $2,521.47 in today's dollars.
The closest thing in the currently available catalog would be a Les Paul Traditional, which goes for $2,799.00.

So, $277.53 more than in 1958.

So yeah, they are a little more expensive but I don't see this as being an egregious increase and I do think does help to dispel the notion that modern Gibsons are somehow "overpriced."

$247!?!?!?
wowsers!!!

Yep. I pointed out the exact same thing in a different thread here on TTR.

I've got full pdf catalogs for '56, '57, and '59.

I could email them to anyone interested in having copies.

Pages 18 and 19 are mandolins.

In early 1958 the Standard was still a goldtop. The sunbursts didn't appear at the start of the year, and the first 1958 standards would basically be of the same specs as the 1957s. The picture is still cool though Late 1955s and 1956 models came with the tuneomatic bridge and stop tailpiece but still had the P90s.
