The Mojotone kit comes with every part you'll need to build a complete amp, minus the stinking fx loop. The hookup wire supplied is cloth pushback type. In Mojotone's 18 watt layout, there are no shielded wires. If you want shielded wires you'll need to order those separately.

I'm tossing around a couple right now. Although I want to build an amp, my #1 concern at present is to lighten up my rig, and splitting down to a head and single 12" cabinet would do that for me...

I know I am the odd man out (buwahaha and in ) however -- I LIKE the tone of a DSL --as a matter of fact IF I was buying another which I am not --
I would get one of these.....
But I have a 30 year old one of these...................
That gets the MARSHALL tone job done...........and done very well.....only mod was I enclosed the back.........really gives this thing PUNCH

Have you ever tried 1 of these?
The amp sounds killer and is 15 watts. 15 watts can be very loud depending on the speaker.
* It's not the wattage that makes the amp loud, it's the efficiency of the speaker.
The Orange 1X12 is a really sweet sounding cab.

So, I am sitting here pondering my options at getting a head/cab up and running ASAP.
At this point, getting the weight reduced is priority #1. I have to pick up my DSL40C, turn it sideways and "walk" it into my trunk, laying it back down on the trunk floor. A head and lighter cabinet would help me reduce continued aggravation to my old SI joint injury.
Current budget is $600.00
So, working within that amount, I could convert the DSL40C to a head with one of Mission Engineering's cabinets for about $250.00.
The $229.00 VHT mahogany, finger-joint 2x12 (empty) cabinet is almost identical to the dimensions of the DSL40C, so it will fit into my trunk easily, and with Neodymium speakers, weight is less than 30 pounds total.
Of course, after that swap, I have a DSL40C hus laying about, and with my wife's office now in my studio, I am out of storage space, so logistics have to be considered too.
Another option would be to buy the Origin 50H outright for $499.00 and use one of the band's Germino 4x12's on a temporary basis. These cabs are already in the rehearsal space and moving them is not necessary.
I could then return both DSL40C's to stock tubes and speakers and sell them both, eventually using the proceeds to get the VHT mahogany 2x12 cabinet.

My Mustang was ordered with the 1,000 watt stereo option which has a 2x12 speaker cabinet on the RH side of the trunk with (4) 250 watt Bose power amps mounted to the back.
The trunk is 18" deep, 30" wide and 40" deep.
My DSL40C measures 20" high, 25" wide and 10" thick.
I carry foam blocks in the trunk that allow me to "block" the amp and prevent movement.
Now, this morning, I was looking for dimensions on amps, etc., and noticed that Zzounds offers a Marshall Origin 20 watt head and Marshall MX112 cabinet as a package deal for $600.00.
The MX112 cabinet with speaker has an advertised weight of 29 pounds.
Dimensions are listed as 18.5" tall, 19.7" wide and 11.7" thick, so this will fit and be 30 pounds lighter right off the bat, and 5 pounds lighter if I install my Jensen Jet Neodymium 100 Watt 12" speaker.

That amount changed yesterday...
It started out as much, much more than that, but we know some people who have been really struggling lately and i felt like I could do with a little less and help them get through a tight spot. They would never ask for help so this was something I just really wanted to do...
