50's vs. Modern Wiring

Biddlin is OK. He still posts at ETSG, but nowhere near as much as he used to. I too, miss that cantankerous crabby old S.O.B. (and I mean that in a most respectable way).

Yes, I too miss Biddlin. He is a wealth of knowledge, which he shares & is a straight shooter which I like. You always know where you stand with a straight shooter. Actually, Biddlin changed my ways of using internet shorthand to using proper grammar & punctuation. Glad he's ok. Cheers

I only have two more that I can possibly sell...

I do the 50's wiring on most guitar with humbuckers. That wiring makes it a bit brighter and I can retard the excess treble will a lower value cap. With the mondern wiring the tone is behind the volume. Now with the 50's style wiring the the tone is ahead of the volume. You can skip the tone altogether if you want.

Playing them or as listeners?
I guess both. You can make it sound like 50's wiring with a treble boost. I looked in to both to find what one had the most sensitive tone control. Things would be better if I could set the tone on the guitar. To me the modern wiring gives a more sensitive tone knob.
