Musings at Guitar Center

I see your point. Maybe he was just looking for a practice amp.

Personally, I would have plugged into the Marshall half stack 50 feet away!

That would be good if you had the money. I have a Marshall TSL 2000 head without tubes and no speaker cabinet but at least I have my trusty ol' Fender Twin Reverb amp which is pretty loud in itself. Another good practice amp I would highly recommend is the VOX DA-5 battery powered amp that runs on 6 C batteries. It has some really cool tones and amp modelling with effects that are simple and easy to operate. I have 2 of them...one in black tolex and the other in white.

You’re right, Black.

I suppose it just struck me as odd. I certainly don’t want to be offensive, and I apologize if so.

Anyhoo...

While I was at the GC, rhymes with “MC” and with “DC”.

(What’s up with me and these hip-hop flows?)

I did happen to see the new HP Gibson SG guitars.

THEY ARE SWEET!

I was too rushed to play any of them, but hanging on the wall they really looked nice.

Aaaand...

They have side-mounted output jacks!!!

I am so in love right now.

(They still look weird without a pick guard, though...)

So what is the difference between the HP and the HPII. So far, all I can see is that the more expensive HPII has a richlite FB instead of the HP's rosewood, which I already find fascinating (and cool)
