NG Project!

Thanks! I record with StudioOne software, which links directly with Soundcloud. There is a free version of the StudioOne available.

Thanks for the info Ray. I guess I can download it on my smart phone and give it a whirl.

Looking VERY good!
19 pages in this thread so forgive me if previously mentioned, those pickup surrounds very sweet, are they alloy, chrome or what? Also are they custom made or available for purchase?

These are chromed metal. I have them in gold too. I bought them from our sponsor, Musiclily.

BTW, if it seems I mention that I bought stuff from Musiclily a lot, it is because I had been buying from them for more than a year before they became our sponsor. Just about my entire stock of parts is from them.

Promote them, promote them!
They look after you and help this forum, I'll go to them when I can.

That's a helluva job you did on this one. Looks very nice, too. A big congrats on a job well done...

One thing that bugged me about that guitar's body, was the upper left screw hole of the neck joint. I didn't think that there was enough meat to support a very stressful point around that hole. Did you have any problems here?

Any plans to decorate the headstock? Like a plaque that spells out: RVA?

Thank you! No problems with the neck hole. I screwed a larger pilot hole and it seemed solid. Also, the metal inserts provide additional support.

I would like to decorate the headstock, but I am not a particularly good graphic artist. Any decal ideas for this one? How about a wedge of cheese? After a few comments by my wife and forum members that the guitar looks like a cutting board, I decided to call this guitar "Parma"!!!

Now that is a sweet looking axe there Ray. That spalted maple gives your guitar a lot of character. I noticed you use bolt-in for the neck instead of bolt-on with a neck plate. Do you find that it makes a better connection between the neck and body?

Thank you!

Not my call on the bolt-on. I bought the body, then re-finished it (twice!) However, I do note that ALL Tom Anderson guitars are bolt on. In my opinion, they make just as good a guitar as a set neck, but you can take them off to fix them, shim them if necessary, or swap them out using only a screw driver

Glad this story has a happy ending.
Nice work. I admire your stubbornne.... err, persistence!
I don't give up easily either I can appreciate your efforts.
The problems you faced required careful consideration and then a well executed solution implementation.
Priceless experience and skill building gain I gather.
