I had one of the Fender Champs and it was a great little amp. But, I went on a selling spree and got rid of it when I bought the VOX MV50.

I also have one of those little Red VOX amps along with a Surf Strat in Ohio...it sounds mediocre at best...

So tell us, what is your impression of the VOX MV50? I looked at those from afar for awhile but said nahh.

I think it's a very nice "little" amp and I do mean little. It's the size of two packs of smokes...

I went with the Clean version. I've been running it into a 1x12 open back with a 70/80 Celestion.

Very nice cleans and some decent break up at higher volume.

Has a couple nice options on the back...a switch for Full, 1/10 and 1/100 power output and a switch for Flat or Deep EQ.

For such a small device and so easy to carry around it really can't be beat at $199

Bonus, there are 4 models to choose from to suit your style. The newest is "Boutique" which is supposed to be a Dumble sound...

Could alway go like Tony and get a pile of Laney Supergroups

I voted the Vox AC4 12, since I have the 10 and dig it. I could only imagine that the 12,
especially with an upgraded Celestion Greenback, would sound far out and groovy. No loop,
so if that's necessary, then get the DSL5.

p.s. I just checked the voting results. I demand a RECOUNT!

Plus, do SGs even sound good with Marshall amps?
Is this to be taken as a serious question?

My junior would sound awful through a Marshall...

Ummm...no it wouldn’t.

Maybe it wouldn’t sound too great through a smallish, SS Marshall. But it would pretty much slap you in the face through a full-fat tube Marshall.
