This thing WILL PLAY!
Question. Shall I do the 2 piece bridge and cover the dowels as much as possible or do a wrap tail and have the 2 rear dowels fully exposed?
I don't know.
Ask Floyd.

That sounds very interesting!!Also, I have a large sheet of cherry veneer left from my kitchen redo.
You are more than welcome to a chunk of it if you want.
I'm not sure how well cherry and walnut would go though.
Just another brick in the wallHe's a moody guy.
Lots of ups and downs.
A grinder, a dremel and then finally, sandpaper with lots of measuring and time. Not too different than fabricating a nut.How did you fabricate the dowels - to the round shape?
Thanks. It is being sprayed now. Working with nitro is totally different than poly, but I am learing. When I am done spraying, it is a 7 day cure time. Those necks sure do look great...it's turning out very well. You're almost close to the finish line Ray...don't stop now.

I do not like nitro, but that is what the builder used, so I have to follow since I did not sand to bare wood. It's hard to find nitro spray or in a can up here but there's plenty of poly sold in the hardware stores. I like the feel of nitro and it sure does age well. I don't know that myth about letting your guitar breathe more with nitro on it. It breathes more when the finish is rubbed off through years of playing IMHO.

Search for Behlen, or Dartfords aka Rothko products. Both offer nitro products in both spray & spray can types. CheersIt's hard to find nitro spray or in a can up here
