Tattoos... Got 'em? Like 'em?

My kids names

This is just the beginning of a couple of sleeves. I will integrate things about their personalities... e.g. Liam plays bass, so bass clefs, bass guitars, perhaps Lemmy Kilminster playing bass or something else similar.

One right bicep.
Inked way back in 1969, was a rebellious 19 year old motorcycling enthusiast, never a gang biker, bikers to me are slime.
I love Australia so the roo and Aust flag.
Now that tats are common place I regret getting mine, that's only been the case for about the last 5 years.
Who knows for it's 50th birthday I may give it a re colour but then it won't be original :-(

Tattoos?

Ha. I don't need tattoos, 'cuz I got these!

I have freckles...lots and lots of freckles! I get 'em for free from the sun.

Honestly, any tattoo I'd ever get would look like it had the chicken pox or a bad case of acne.

No ink on me. All I have is four knife wound scars and a bullet hole healed over. Near thirty years of dealing with the "not always nice public" will leave a scar or two. But that's ok as my aim was far better than the other guys. So no tats but I figured I earned the scars.

I'm assuming from above, the four knife and one bullet injuries were received while policing?
If so is that even SLIGHTLY typical for US police?
I have a number of friends who are retired police (including the one in photo post #30), none of them were injured other than being punched etc while arresting criminals.

I was an officer that never backed down and pursued my suspects full out. Third generation professional lawman. My family tradition, combined with being a traditional Lakota, blended with that old Army Ranger attitude simply drove me to the fight. Now granted I managed to talk down 90% of my suspects, but I worked the barrios and gang infested areas. It comes with the job. Some just thought they could go through me. Looking back I was just a hardheaded halfbreed that was too stubborn to quit. Now my body is paying the price from lots of internal damage. Oh well, it was a good life.

Congratulations on doing a very tough job with a great attitude.
Naturally we in Australia have good officers such as you, but these days IMHO we have too many in the service with ridiculously high education while physically small. Back in the 50's and 60's the main requirement was being a big bloke of average intelligence.
