Just speaking generally, ranking p’ups is tough because so much depends on personal taste and the rest of the rig in use.
I sometimes feel like I must be a little out of the loop because I don’t have a universal disdain for Gibson pickups. Sometimes, it seems like it’s almost expected to remove the Gibson pickups. The three Gibsons I have that were complete guitars when I got them still have the original pickups. (My fourth, the LP Studio, was a husk, so things are different with that one.)
I think nearly any of them can sound good depending on the rest of the rig and what you’re trying to achieve.
