Maybe a Squier guitar has that radius and they are reasonably priced.
;>)/
Should be able to find one pretty cheap on the 'bay or something. Say goodbye to bending strings.
Kind of looking for the genuine article at the moment...or at least a Mighty Mite or Warmouth...
Neck for $250 or entire guitar for $500??? Decisions...
Can't see a radius listed on this one...but I like it and emailed him.
A neck for $250.00 is a steal.
My 24-3/4" Scale Stratocaster Neck, Solid Mahogany with Ebony Board, Cream Binding, MOP Blocks, and R3 Shelf Prep was $662.00
...and Gilmour manages.
The Black Strat – current specs.
– Fender 1969 alder body with black finish repainted over the original sunburst finish.
– Fender 1983 ‘57 reissue C shape maple neck with maple 7.25″ radius fingerboard and 21 vintage style frets.
What happens on high-mileage 7.25 boards is the frets start to flatten in the middle (or a luthier can dress them that way) so that the effective radius is flatter than the stupid 7.25. You can set up a guitar so you can do something like a full-step bend on one by having unfortunate action and relief, but why? There's a reason the entire industry other than Fender moved on from them: severe limitations. It's only nostalgia that keeps Fender chucking the things out. Even Leo went to a 12" radius at G&L.
Maybe if you're sure you will like it, but not on a whim for a test...
