I love adding my own switches. It is nice to have that skill so any guitar is a "custom".That S1 switching sure is a versatile option but looks a bit complicated at first until you get used to the different sounds. That's a beauty guitar Ray...I really like the Burgundy Mist colour. I also like the back heel of the guitar where the neck joins onto the body where it's sculpted for easier upper fret access. I own a '98 Fender American Standard in a much darker, bordeaux metallic purple that doesn't have no S1 switching but I added my own switch which is a neck-on switch. Instead of 5 positions I have now 7. When I have the bridge pup on only then flick on the neck switch both pickups are out-of-phase which is a very cool sound. I also like having all 3 pick ups on at once for a very sparkling and shimmering sound. BTW...can I ask a question Ray? How many guitars do you have now?...50?

As for how many, my wife says too many, I say not enough. I would prefer not to put a number on it, but I do have 2 bodies and necks on the way!
