I owned one for a while in the late 90s. Bought it from a friend who played out alot and in smokey bars before the air nazies took over here in So CA. Even though it played and sounded great, when you opened the case, it was like you were in a smokey bar. Not my cup of tea. Sold it after about 6 months.

Yeah, I meant no offense to Nighthawk owners at all. Just pointing out the 3 different pickups in an LP-ish body done well...VS the guitar in question, in this thread.(IMO)

I fail to see the issue--- looks like a well done job--- the tonal variables are a PLENTY ----Im just hoping it sits a while--- and Ic an scoop it up for 1/2 off after a bunch of people piss on the guys cheerios and make him feel like a wank for "destroying" this beautiful guitar----which is JUST a 2010 Gold top its not a 50's era--- played by Les himself extra special relic of Historical Heritage proportion--- its JUST a gold painted 2010 LEs Paul--- with upgrades.......

like this sort of---

Agreed. The price is too high but for the right person this would be one hell of a versatile guitar with the SD bridge. I would personally dump the P-90 as the sonic character doesn't really go with the other two pickups. Probably replace with another Dimarzio humbucker. Seems like it would be a good gigging guitar to me.

I have a dream Session....a dream........of one day finding a hacked and poorly pupped GOLD TOP in my mail slot------wont you ---give -----today ???
