HELP!--

The point everyone is trying to make without saying it in so many words is that IT IT A LOT MOR FUN FOR US if you just tear it off and see what happens.

Look at it like squeezing that really big, sore pimple you have in a spot where nobody can see it: It might be best just to leave it alone (since it is hidden anyway), but there is always the satisfaction of just getting it over with...

That made me laugh my ass off.... :-)

See that hole in the middle of the four screws, it goes thru the body but not the neck.
Get a flat drift or even small bolt (1/4x20x3") that just fits that hole, and give it a tap or two.
Or bring it on over and I'll whip out my chainsaw.

Naw...we're past that. eSGEe has a plan and we're running with it!

Three-Screw Adrian is hitting the road and layin' down the Broke Screw Blues!!!

Just checked ....all 6 strings.......holding tune........gap in neck and body joint....same as last evening.............

Hey you must be lucky!
Do you feel lucky?

Good enough and close enough for rock and roll.
Now you are once again free to spend your time and energy on those Ferengi skills and codes of conduct and working those flippy deals!

That would bug me enough that I couldn't leave it.
I would have to either fix it or fail trying.

I gots to know!!

I know what you're thinking - does that guitar neck have 4 screws or only 3?
Well to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I kind of lost track myself.

I have broken screws off and I just can't play a guitar with a screwed up screw. I loosen the strings and remove the three screws. Get the plate off and hopefully some of the broken screw is above the body. Vice grips fastened to the broken screw has worked. I have cut a slot in the screw and with a slotted bit in my drill set to reverse got them out. These are very crappie screws, really too soft for holding the neck on. I replace them if I have to shim or replace the neck. The last is to remove it in parts.
