Good choice with the D-28. That is the standard by which all other guitars fall short.
And yes, there's been a lot of progress in the technology of amplifying acoustic signals in the
last forty years. Everybody's plugged in now, from the mandolin to the doghouse bass.
I'm not against Taylor, or Seagull, or L'Arrivee... Those all make good guitars. But the D-28 is
the one I've always wanted, and will likely never have. I'm actually blessed with fine guitars
so I don't really need one. I've also lusted after the Gibson J-45... another classic.
But I can't justify the money outlay. I think you got a really good deal on an excellent Martin.
I don't trust the future these days, (if any) so I'm hunkering down and getting very stingy with
my cash. Like I 'm going to need it badly later. I'll play the ones I have.
