NEMGD - New EMG Day

Is that a studio? That's not yours is it?

You've actually got me reconsidering selling my Tribute and possibly keeping it and converting it over to actives.

I just pulled it out and played it and after a break from it I had a blast playing it. Ugh!

You're just a little black stain and a pup set away. :yesway:

Edit: not mine, it's a studio.

I won't stain it black, to me a black guitar needs to be black gloss and I don't know if I could pull that off. Plus I like the finish it has now and don't want to redo it again.

Now I'm thinking about how/where to put a battery compartment in it. I'm also thinking about the Fat 55s because they look like normal pickups, but wondering if they'll do the high gain thing.

Dude from Slipknot has a sig set Retro Actives.
I'd guess "they'll do the high gain thing"...

Might look cool in the Tribute as is.

I like that the Fat 55's have Alnico magnets. I've been looking around, seems they can do Metal, but they can also do blues and classic rock. I'm not going to pull the trigger just yet, I need to be sure, I'm tired of throwing money away. Actually everything is on hold right now until I see what my new amp likes, I may already have it.
