Guitars and BEER!

Usually I drink Dithmarscher Urtyp as my 'regular' beer, comes from a small brewery in the North of Germany, Schleswig-Holstein if I'm not mistaken. Anyhow, the place I generally get it closed down so I went hunting but eventually gave up and came home with a crate of Krombacher. It's not a bad beer, but a little middle-of-the-road. Still have some Guinness and some special beers in the fridge though plus a shelf full of assorted stringer liquor...

I'm lucky to have a local liquor store that keeps a good stock of German and Czech beers. They are what I grew up on, and still prefer them over American micro-brews or factory beers. They usually have a good supply of Veltins, Grävensteiner, Paulaner, Tücher, Krombacher, Weihenstaphan, and Augustiner Bräu. Then they'll also have Pilsner Urquell and Budvar. The majority of their beer selection is in 1/2 liter cans, which is much nicer on my wallet.

So, Firestone Walker Brewing Co is one of many local brewing companies in this part of Crazyfornia. Recently bought a Firestone IPA variety pack at the local Costco in San Luis Obispo. To my surprise, one of the flavors is a West Coast Style IPA called the Ernie Ball Electric Eagle! How's that for Guitars and BEER!!!

Hehe, how appropriate with the text on the glass...! The Dutch can brew some decent beer, the Belgians are the masters of the Benelux when it comes to that, though. If you ever visit, I think you might enjoy a tour of one the old monasteries/breweries. I have yet to try a decent French beer... and I do try all kinds of stuff:

This place is just around the corner practically...
Wheatbeer is my favourite hands down - I would literally never be out of that shop!
Before it turned to Perfect Draft only I used to get what I could from Beerhawk-

I've had those Erdingers (maybe not the Dunkel... I think so, though). St Bernadus, plenty of Maisels, definitely the Weihenstephaner. The White Rabbit IPA sounds familiar, but I don't recognize the bottle.

That's a pretty old photo mate & in all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if some of them were Beerhawk exclusives - I basically selected shop by wheatbeer & pretty much got at least one of each! :ROFLMAO:
