That's what I was drinking Sunday. Last night, it was Rothaus vom Fass. Tonight I'm having a glass of 2024 Karl Lagler Burgberg Federspiel Grüner Veltiner from Austria.

I'm lucky to have a local liquor store that keeps a good stock of German and Czech beers. They are what I grew up on, and still prefer them over American micro-brews or factory beers. They usually have a good supply of Veltins, Grävensteiner, Paulaner, Tücher, Krombacher, Weihenstaphan, and Augustiner Bräu. Then they'll also have Pilsner Urquell and Budvar. The majority of their beer selection is in 1/2 liter cans, which is much nicer on my wallet.Usually I drink Dithmarscher Urtyp as my 'regular' beer, comes from a small brewery in the North of Germany, Schleswig-Holstein if I'm not mistaken. Anyhow, the place I generally get it closed down so I went hunting but eventually gave up and came home with a crate of Krombacher. It's not a bad beer, but a little middle-of-the-road. Still have some Guinness and some special beers in the fridge though plus a shelf full of assorted stringer liquor...
