What Amp Do You Use The Most

My DSL201 modded for lower gain gets the most use because its a combo that doesn't have to be stashed away when not in use, and it records great.

I have four others and they are all great amps that are very different from each other. A Laney VC30 combo modded for much lower gain than stock, a Hiwatt DR504 clone, a 2203 based Frankenamp, and a healthy DSL50 tubed for lower gain than stock.

One might think I'm not into gain, but the reality is the ones I modded were so out of control. Now I can actually just dial in how much gain I want instead of having to try to find that sweet spot between 1.9 and 2 on the knob, lol.

Ever since I got it I have been using my Ceriatone 100w FAS the most. It likes my Mesa 2-12” cab with a 75w CB & ET65. I play it in every mode it has, and all effects come from an HX Effects unit. Super nice sounding amp but it’s the “feel” that gets you. (Raw power) They make a 50w also….. but…. why? More is always better.

Edit: Not a great amp for moving around every night though, pretty heavy unit.

I recently moved a few of my amps and added my first Tweed amp, a JTM ST20H, and a 2555x Jubilee.

My only two long-term owned tube amps are a JTM45 Clone and a Marshall Astoria Classic (which is a keeper).

I’ve been an old school 4-Hole Marshall guy the past 15 years, and I’ve owned quite a a few vintage NMV Marshall amps from years 1969 to 1976.

I am currently using the 2555x Jubilee the most.

I am spending time trying to get tones that I like out of the Jubilee and deciding whether to keep the amp. I am having fun finally using an amp that doesn’t need an OD pedal for lower volume gain.

The Astoria is under the cover with the ST20H setting on top.

I installed a JJ 5751 in V1 in my new Jubilee and now the gain is more tamed to my liking and to my style of playing.

It's basically a JTM60 all tube 60 watts in new cosmetics, with an added fan to control the heat from the tubes. Perfect beast for me, 2 Celestion Heritage to the rescue.
1997 model made in England.
There's also a smaller Jube, the same format as the Studio series, same grey/silver design and such. I don't like them much, but they got a lot of love.
They say the JCM600 is a great secret amp you can buy cheap, never even heard of them.

I’m not a big Jubilee guy myself, reminds me of the 900 for some reason. I don’t care for the distortion in either one. But a lot of folks love them. I never see them being hot rodded either.

It's not a bad amp, certainly.

Some would say that's due to the clipping diodes... I just find the Jubes a bit 'cold' sounding. They have the bark, even the roar, but not the warmth - to me that is.

I’ll most likely le mine go in a couple of months.

Exactly - I had a JCM601 (1x12 version) that I got chassis only and mounted in a headshell.
Normal channel goes from clean to plexi-ish drive tones when cranked.
The boost channel gets classic JCM Marshall growl.

Awesome tones, but a wonky design with the tubes mounted horizontally below the output board.
They have a reputation for heat related issues and transformer troubles.
Total PITA to work on the circuit, but they sound great when they're working.
