What Amp Do You Use The Most

That's an easy answer - I only own one amp!

Better to have one excellent amp than ten so-so ones. Nothing like a good roaring Marshall. If an amp can't kill a herd of cows at 100 yards, it's basically not worth having....

My DSL201 modded for lower gain gets the most use because its a combo that doesn't have to be stashed away when not in use, and it records great.

I have four others and they are all great amps that are very different from each other. A Laney VC30 combo modded for much lower gain than stock, a Hiwatt DR504 clone, a 2203 based Frankenamp, and a healthy DSL50 tubed for lower gain than stock.

One might think I'm not into gain, but the reality is the ones I modded were so out of control. Now I can actually just dial in how much gain I want instead of having to try to find that sweet spot between 1.9 and 2 on the knob, lol.

Ever since I got it I have been using my Ceriatone 100w FAS the most. It likes my Mesa 2-12” cab with a 75w CB & ET65. I play it in every mode it has, and all effects come from an HX Effects unit. Super nice sounding amp but it’s the “feel” that gets you. (Raw power) They make a 50w also….. but…. why? More is always better.

Edit: Not a great amp for moving around every night though, pretty heavy unit.

That’s part of why I let my Fuchs ODS go. The transformers in that amp weighed a ton.

I am using my DSL40 CR (naked) the most but I need to use the other amps.
