Was talking lever guns with my bandmates the other day..my other guitarist said he had an old Winchester.....with some sort of octagon barrel or something, he didn't know much about it.
Well that piqued my interest!
I looked it over, mechanically it's new!
Someone painted one side with lacquer and made it into a wallhanger......
Turns out it's a 1967 Canadian centennial model.
Winchester made around 100k of these in 26 inch octagon barrels.
There is a very small number of them with 20" barrels which this is.
Anyhow, I know that I lost money in the trade, but value is in the eye of the beholder....
He is just smitten with his new Les Paul. (My Vintage Mahogany with a blackened black winter.) Thing is an absolute player!
