The pickups are a very interesting blend of P90 and humbucker ish tones....GREAT sustain .....love the tailpiece/bridge.

The body and neck joint are VERY thin......amazing top fret access....better than any other guitar I have played....the access area is less than 1.5" you can reach all the way up to the neck pup with ease!

If I were engaged and living in Florida, I would without hesitation chose you to officiate my wedding, Pastor Adrian!

So--- the young fella I scored this VOX from was --- with new baby and wife in tow---very happy to meet and sell the VOX....(I have been in his position some 26 years ago) -- new baby-- new career---new wife----mortgage--bills--little league--school plays---- attacking life!!!-- No time for gear and guitars and bikes and bars-- I wished him much luck with all that -- and told him it would all work out -- congrats on the new family -- (kid looked scared shitless)

He opened the truck of the car and there sat the guitar----dusty--- dirty....(not even a gig bag!!!)--I learned later the new puppy took care of the gig bag--eeww---and lying beside a stroller and diaper bag......tossed in like a left over lawn utensil..........sad....... I musta made a horrible face--- as he immediately wnet to defense mode...."No no its fine...no issues....here check it out---just dirty and may need tuned.....I havent played in a year or so".......I asked....how long has it been in the trunk ??? "Since 9 am -- we had running to do and family to visit" (oh.......i was skeptical......it was 4:30 in the afternoon......in the heat of central Fl. for all that time--- in a TRUNK!!!!)

However picked it up--- neck had a SLIGHT bow.......otherwise all was well......plugged into the battery amp and no scratches, pups work........ SOLD!

After a good cleaning .........neck adjust and ---testing......she is a WINNER for sure. And a Quirky different unique addition to the eSGEe hall of oddities and weird crap

I did take a few moments this morning RVA --you will be happy to know---and I actually adjusted the pickups.......UP---then down--- then back up some--- no no wait---now with distortion--no back down.....high "E" side up a tad--- oh yeah--- the neck gained a little punch from the endeavour and you can relax in knowing I have allowed THIS Particular GUITAR to be ALL it can POSSIBLY be :)

Congrats. I've always like those when they first came out. Never tried one, but look good on paper.

Didn't realize how thin it is at the neck joint. Does it suffer the "neck wobblies" if you don't have a light touch?
no -- not at all-- less than any SG I have owned actually. its very stable--- one reviewer intimated it was a neck through....but others said solid mahogany body so I dont see how that's possible......1 of them must be wrong.....
