Anyone interested in another TTR community "Happening?"

@PLX You have obviously never babysat a real singers' ego LOL!
The "free" version doesn't appear to do anything useful.

Hesitant to pay for it without being able to see/hear what I might possibly be able to do for me, as far as adding vocals to one of my tracks.

OK thanks for checking it out. I was getting to that later this week to see what's possible with the free version.

I can tell ya.. not much.

There was a guy on another site that was using it to create backing tracks, and he seemed to have some success.

But he was also using the paid version.

For anyone that hasn't been there this is what it looks like. And it appears the plan does give you a lot more flexibility.
I'd still be willing and happy to just be able to upload audio, which is free.

I do think that once a person gets into it, they will likely feel the need to upgrade. That's how they build these things.
But I had a lot of fun, even with the older version a year ago. It's supposed to be much better now, the free version.

Really, for the price of a hamburger and fries a month?
That's not real bad for the extra.

Do your own research tho

The other thing is.. the "free" version limits you to like a 30 second track for the output.

Is that with just an upload or now for all creations? I was getting full pieces generated with a free sign up before. It may have changed..
I'll dig into it in more detail tomorrow, but thank you for poking around.

I already record tracks with drums, bass & guitar.. so I uploaded one of them and had it add AI vocals.

It sucked.

Hold your horses there @BFT Gibson - but, that looks freakin' fantastic! Why not?

My brothers, some of us may soon embark upon an epic shared journey together. Those joining
will have the opportunity to become a "musical deity" with nearly unlimited powers to create a small,
musically-directed world in whichever ways you so choose.

Be dark, comedic, cinematic, irreverent, sarcastic, dramatic, joyful - all of it. Weave your dream.
It is not a competition, except against your own creative will and motivation.

Imagine being unfettered by "gear" "time" "skills" "fussy bandmates," even "talent" LOL!
All that drags you down, keeps you from creating your little "masterpiece" - POOF! - It's gone.

Or, keep doing what you're doing (or not doing). It's fine.

Project Orpheus will allow you to be as real or as fake as you want. All the control, no guilt, no shame.
There will be laughter, camaraderie, goosebumps, likely even genuine tears as we travel a wondrous path.
I believe it might evolve into the musical adventure of a lifetime for many of us.

I have high hopes and expectations of honest participation and creative/community positivity.
It may also fail enormously. :ROFLMAO: it's fully another crazy TVvoodoo interactive online social experiment and I'm
big nervous for me, heck for everyone.

But I promise I'm going to try to not allow that happen, but community buy-in is crucial.
I have real tears already just thinking about the level of difficulty. lol

When did you start putting ideas together for this ? Just wondering , you have already put together the idea, now setting in motion will be your next move? Am I just to curious about the thought behind the curtain ?
I do like the concept, so the vocal option is sort of up to the composer ?
If I can manage to get my son to help, last time it never came together. I promise he can sing. lol

The seed of the idea came from a chapter of Game of Toanz... if you may recall... participants were asked to come up with a theme, and ten song titles... and I think maybe lyrics for a title track?

I think it was Barbarian Bob who didn't read the mission right and actually wrote ten full songs??? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

anyway this simply an expansion of that... I started rethinking this about a month ago. I consider
1. What might we all wish to accomplish as music lovers
2. Find ways to nudge ourselves in that direction without undue frustration and provide max entertainment factor as we actually make it happen
3. Brad's secret sauce in planning and promo LOL!

Spend 10 minutes with Suno... you will see how easy it is to generate uh... something? Spend an hour with it, and find yourself

Put me down as tentative for now. I travel a lot so committing to a song every 6 weeks could be tough. Maybe I try for an EP

As for the AI thing, I’m not too emotional about it if used for minor things. I guess the big question is how do we know how much of a song is AI generated vs created by a human? I’d rather not listen to mostly or fully AI generated songs (not that anyone here would do that).
