Anyone interested in another TTR community "Happening?"

But what does that actually mean?

If a player writes and records his own song, but uses a lyric generator to help him find a line or word that rhymes with something he wants to say, is that allowing AI into a mix?
I have no objection toward anyone using a lyric generator to generate rhymes when hitting a brick wall on their own to find the right words.

I simply have no desire to listen to AI generated vocals or Ai generated music.

YMMV

I like that! (y)
Or the possibility of producing an online TTR Compiltation CD (for downloading) consisting of solo contributions and collaborative contributions among members here at TTR.

What I am presenting here is the opportunity with MINIMAL muss and fuss, is the opportunity to create YOUR OWN Concept album.
Perhaps the best tracks could be compiled into a TTR thing... but again, lets not call this real finished, member art.
It's musical LARPing at best, if you rely on lot of AI, but a lot of people dig the LARP

Well , knew the Super Lead was getting recorded for the first time today. Didn't know the lyrics would come from this thread. Creativity can come from anywhere, if you look for it. All organic here, Mic's on cabs, Charvel San Dimas SD JB

I'm a baby boomer. I grew up in an era of time when solo artists and bands created their own original music and were in competition with each other for popularity and record sales.

If AI generated music becomes the norm, the Grammy Awards and CMA will be forced to adapt.

"The AI "Album Of The Year" is......

And I would just add for say a fella here like @PLX whom I invited to join in on the RiffMasters thing last year ... if I recall correct he opted out 'cause he didn't feel confident about either his singing or lyric-writing skills (maybe both), but all here can agree he rips real good, and builds some sweet riffs.

Imagine if he got on with some generated lyrics on say, micro-agressions or some-such, in a good rock vocal take. Frickin' bangers for sure.

Just sayin'

My friend @PLX if you have any useful thoughts or ideas to add bring them or kindly continue your troll-rolling elsewhere. Your act is a waste of energy and tired.

I appreciate the discussion.

The concept I'm working on is a long road, for a year. You will build a 10 track concept album, with other surprises AND mandatory randomized pairing collaboration, but I will make that part VERY easy.

I'm hoping it'll be engaging and entertaining for a wide range of folks taking part, and for those interested in following the circus it may become. You will explore what's possible with new tools open to all, formidable and obviously to some, also fearful.

If you happen to join within the "Artistic Integrity" AI no-go camp, you are absolutely welcome on this ride. I think it's admirable you set such a high personal bar. But, I will also kindly ask you to be tall enough to play nice and participate snark-free.

From day one, it is to be a positive creative experience with a minimum of negativity between participants/watchers. If this whole idea just plain irks you, simply steer clear of the threads. It will be difficult though. By design these events generate community excitement.

If I can get this thang moving, to start Dec.1, I think a minimum TEN participants is a fine number to work with, so nine including myself. Of course, the more in the merrier it will be.

It is NOT in to be any way a competition between members. It's you grappling with your creative self, collaborations and the magic of creating a little joy out of nothing.

With AI useage, it will be far less time-consuming than Riffmasters. The extra time might better go into what craft you DO or do NOT choose to input into "the machine."

If you choose to use Suno, I suggest you sign up NOW to start building the daily creation credits it provides, and start to learn the super simple process, research and experiment a bit. You will soon learn you can get crazy detailed with prompts for more control, or just keep it very simple. There's also always an element of random nuttiness than can happen too. Credits do burn up fast as you try stuff, but they do automatically renew, free of charge.

There are similar sites as well, but I have not explored them.

With seven firm "I'm In"s I will begin to reveal more about the event program, and again It's likely to morph slightly as it develops.

As much as I enjoyed participating in the past, I need to sit this one out. My work/life balance and level of complete burn-out are incomprehensible right now. I'm probably hitting a 41 on a scale of 1 to 10.

The new computer I bought in May of 2024 is still "New in Box" because I am only home two days a week. Maybe in April or May, things will slow down a bit and I could jump in as a late straggler to fill in.

Unfortunately, I would only be able to enter my simple live videos with my Canon EOS 5 camera as I had done in the past. I'm still technologically challenged, and I'm still trying to build a set up as Ramo and I had discussed in several PMs in the past because I was so impressed with how good his videos always turn out.

I'm still too burned out to do it. I'm typing this in a hotel room, but I did bring a guitar with me so I could practice some and not lose what little chops I have left.

I should also add your "Concept" will be YOUR choice, so you can begin to think about that.

Will it be your personal "Joe's Garage" a collection of odes to each motorcycle you've ever owned, a dark dystopian nightmare, or whatever.
I will have to give it some thought, a whole Album full of of songs ?
That in itself is a challenge for me .
I really like it the concept and collaboration idea.
