Working on something right now.. here's a rough cut.

As the rumour goes, his studio was named to honor his adventures as a young man. That’s awfully nice of you to say! Thanks!!!
Don't give up on this. I've been out of commission because of medical reasons but I'm getting my feet back under me and ready to get back into playing and writing. All I ask is no AI, only real people playing real instruments. If there is AI involved it needs to be explicitly documented in whatever is posted. Personally I'd never vote for anything that used AI.Before I slink back into the background, I remain open to your fine ideas /alternatives my brothers.

I might agree with what you are saying Tvvoodoo, in that 4/10. I need help with the vocal but I had a paid subscription to one and it was not worth it.All opinions welcome, this is why I put it out there. It's a divisive issue, but real.
The printed word destroyed sermons
The automobile destroyed horses and wagons
The phonograph destroyed live music
Radio destroyed book readin'
Television destroyed radio
The internet destroyed TV
Technological change happens and through it all humans adapt or wither.
It sounds like it’s a “choice” thing…like…you can use it if you want/need to(heck…it would be a learning experience), but you are not “required” to participate in that manner. These Weird Al submissions would require labeling of such content.I like the idea but also would not care much for AI
That does sound like a good idea.It sounds like it’s a “choice” thing…like…you can use it if you want/need to(heck…it would be a learning experience), but you are not “required” to participate in that manner. These Weird Al submissions would require labeling of such content.
Also…
I could be off base here, but….
It seems less like a “competition”, and more like a game of sharing. Different people with different skill sets, and ideas, sharing them here…coerced/guided by a Dungeonmaster’s direction.
I think that the justification for the use of Weird Al’s help for some submissions would be to give everyone that chooses to work with Weird Al the ability to come out with a “more complete” catalog of material. That does sound like a good idea.
Artificial Intelligence. When we say "AI", what do we even mean?
Al Yankovic…musical prodigy. Wellspring of creativity. When we say "AI", what do we even mean?
Yes, I'm aware of that. I utilized it to varying degrees of success in the Game of Toanz. Still played my instrument though. Still rapped a dis track about my competition with my own voice in one of the challenges.Artificial Intelligence.

But, this fictional album cover by the fictional band FivESkiN, for example, was created by a stable diffusion app that I then laid the band logo over.

This is "AI".
But it didn't just dream it up by itself, because it's not actually intelligent at all.
Yes, there are entire bands, nay, record companies, that are 100% AI. They can be pretty convincing. However, they still require human input, and not just any old layman input either, it needs someone who speaks it's language and knows how to tweak the prompts in a way to make a convincing product.
I'm not a fan of where the world is headed with AI either, but I recognize that what we call AI isn't actually a reality...yet. (Unless DARPA actually DID create a sentient AI [MARSUPIAL] 30 years ago that escaped, so the rumor goes)
That said, I view things like lyric generators, text to image apps, as potentially useful tools. Stuck with a really good line but don't have a rhyme? Why not bounce your idea off a lyric generator and see if it pukes up anything useful at all. Maybe it doesn't. Maybe it does.
I don't want to hear a bunch of tracks that people let some clanker "write" but I don't have a problem with people finding inspiration in anything at all, even newfangled tools and tech, so long as they do not let it steal the human element of creativity.
I didn't post a link. Not sure what you're talking about hereI don't click on links.
