What are you playing today

I tried attaching a copy of the photo, but I obviously don't know what I'm doing, so I'll just ask...
Mr. Krashpad, what kind of guitar is that in the front row - 5th from the left. The pinkish one with the "f" hole?
Very interesting looking.

Ah, a very cool cheapie. Brownsville Choirboy (Korea, c. early 2000's). Semi-hollow with 3 single coil alnico pickups, 5-way switching, bolt-on maple neck. Danelectro-type construction, thin laminate top and back on a hardwood frame with mystery wood center block. Sfaik Brownsville was a house brand of the Sam Ash guitar store chain. With the 5-way switching, lots of tones on tap. Kinda a Dano thinline Strat on steroids, I actually prefer it to a Strat.

Am pretty sure the color was their attempt at stealing Fender's Burgundy Mist. It doesn't photograph well, tbh.

Stuck in a hotel for the week again. I brought my SG Special and a mini amp.
I can relate to spending a week or longer in a hotel room whenever I was dispatched on work related road trip missions. Boring nights to say the least. Never thought to bring along with me a guitar to pass the time, but everytime I got back home I'd grab my acoustic, play, and sing one of my favorite Lovin' Spoonful tunes.

When I used to fly for work, I would often disassemble a Strat and throw it in my suitcase. Especially when I would be in Germany for a month for training. My Burgundy Mist Strat has quite a few thousand miles on it.

After I got home and gave the little Treat or Treaters some candy, I plugged the National into the Express. Fun guitar. Can't wait to give this guitar new strings, batteries, and a good cleaning, some TLC, and spiffing up.

Last couple days been playing the push mower. Mowing grass one last time and first pass at down leaves. There will be about 3 more weeks of dealing with leaves. Big oak trees haven’t gotten serious about dropping leaves yet.

Anyway. According to my walk-o-meter. I’ve logged about 7 miles behind a push mower last couple days.

I much prefer pushing a guitar.

I played my Express amp the other day we were recording my ODS Green Hornet amp was sounding dark 3 way bright switch treble control did nothing
the Express amp is bright sounding not now Joe had turned my treble control all the way down on my guitar
one more thing Keith our sound man had me buy a pair of Sennheiser 609 microphones for our live shows I don't like my guitar in my monitor
I tried to record with them the other day not happy compared to my Antelope Audio Verge condenser microphone the recordings sound exact like my amps
the 609 sounds like mud no dynamics to be honest it did take me five different condenser microphones to get the recordings to sound like my amp

My sit-o-meter and the lady of the house keep telling me to get off my butt, rake leaves, and mow the lawn. Do you have any idea how long it takes to rake an acre?
I know exactly how long. I just took two days and about 6+ hours to do it. Our house and yard was carved out of 5 acres of you can’t walk thru it timber. Best guess is there’s about 3/4 acre of open yard and grass. Once the oaks start dropping leaves, you can’t even see grass anymore.

We had a lite acorn year this year. We have a 150 year old oak tree that drops half its load on our driveway/parking area. I only filled about 6 5 gallon bucket loads to dump in the forest. Some years it’s been two 55 gallon drums worth. And forget about parking under neath it in October.

Being timber we have a little bit of everything. Oaks. Walnut. Hickory. Buckthorn. Probably missing something. Did have lots of ash, but the ash borer killed them all and one by one they’re all falling.
