What are you playing today

The new LP!

I took this beast of a banjo out of its case today. Weighing in at 13+ pounds, it's definitely a beast! It's a shoulder and back destroyer! I totally forgot just how heavy it is with all of the heavy metal adornment.
Knowing that @Headache has back problems, it wouldn't be a good idea for Steve to attempt playing heavy metal bluegrass riffs on a heavy banjo. ;)

Washburn B-17 5 string.

Didn’t think banjos were usually that heavy.

Most aren't as heavy as my Washburn is.
Google a bit and you'll discover it that most serious banjo players prefer to play extremely heavy banjos. It surprises me that a great banjo can at times outweigh a back breaker guitar like a Les Paul.
My Dad's old banjo weighed about 3 lbs.

Stuck in a hotel for the week again. I brought my SG Special and a mini amp. After work I took a drive to a friend's place not to far from where I'm staying. Couldn't say no to buying a wicked cool National Reso-Phonic Resolectric. Been switching back and forth the past couple of hours. Really good fun.

Wow!!! Wicked nice!!! Congratulations!

Only "playing" in the sense of getting tuned/tested for sale. It's (obviously) a Chibson, which I always felt a bit guilty about having bought, and have never gigged. Only purchased to support some scene friends who opened a small shop, that I didn't want to see go under. Still has the plastic on the pickguard. A different scene buddy is buying it from me.

Here's a shot of the store (yes, the entire store) that I bought it from, with the guitar still on the wall.

I tried attaching a copy of the photo, but I obviously don't know what I'm doing, so I'll just ask...
Mr. Krashpad, what kind of guitar is that in the front row - 5th from the left. The pinkish one with the "f" hole?
Very interesting looking.
