Several things in play a while back I got a 23” computer monitor. Today I mounted it on the wall. I went to Harbor Freight and got the mount and a 12 outlet plug strip.

I found some plastic cable rap to organize about 50 cables. What a huge mess it was.
Moving cabs and speakers and switching walls from south to west. Face the ocean? lol
Anyway , I need to find a DYI solution for putting the monitors up.

Not a bad idea, I have such limited floor space I thought maybe a shelf?
I have so much stuff, that is the real problem.

Monitor placement is paramount, and should take priority in any setup situation. If your monitoring position sucks, your mixes may suffer. The positioning is dictated by your listening position, the monitors projection pattern, and the sweet spot will be where you need to be when judging your mixes.

Mine are on Aurilex pads, and work wonderfully. They sound great throughout most of the room, but the sweet spot is magical.
This placement does waste some space that could be used in a more efficient manner, and is perhaps not optimal for the room…but room use must be taken into account as well. I had a full band constantly set up in the space, and taking into consideration the availability of power, the position of the live mixer, and available space after instruments and amps were in place…this was the spot I had to work with.

I do get that concept. I briefly read about it somewhere but I have been using headphones. That probably explains some why my mixes are not as good as they could be.
Anyway , that’s another subject.

If nothing else, place your monitors along the short wall of the room.
Headphones? I use them too. It prevents the lady of the house saying, "Turn that s*it down!" :ROFLMAO:

I am under the impression that: If you wanna post pic’s of music gear(this includes recording studio stuff), uploading is acceptable.
If you want to post hi-rez pic’s of gear, have them hosted, and link to them.
If you want to post smarmy memes and gifs, do not upload to this site…link to an external host.

This is pretty much correct. I shoot for 1.5 or less.

It used to be easy . I signed up for an image hosting sight, immediately it said image to big. Dooh!
I know how to resize them but it’s easier on a computer since I am apparently iPhone illiterate. lol usually I can crop them and chop them down enough to fit.

I just moved my whole set up to the short wall, fortunately. I am building some little speaker mounts out of pine currently to mount to the studs in the wall. Speakers are only 8” wide 10” deep roughly, probably should have made the stands bigger in case I get 8” speakers someday but weight is possibly an issue.
