Pretty funny

What do you mean?
What I mean is that for the 6 months I have been here at TTR I had always been able to take images I have on my cell phone, copy an image onto the clipboard, and paste it into any of my posts here at TTR.
Summary:
You whined.
Wav Mixer made changes to the way things work.

FTR: I had no clue that copying and pasting photos directly from my cell phone could possibly overwhelm the server. Mr. Serling and I will find a proper photo hosting site in the future to link photos, once he calms down a bit.

By copy pasting, we overwhelmed the old server. We up graded to a newer better server and overwhelmed that one as well. So Wav found us an even newer more powerful server. But it was quite an increase in cost. Members ponied up donations so we could afford the new server. So your complaints are aimed at a couple dozen of us that have donated to the cause. It’s not that big a request. It’s not that hard or time consuming. Even this 70 year old could figure out how to do it.

Are you referring to me with "once he calms down a bit."

If so, I am as calm as calm can be.

What some of you new folk may not know. This is a member owned forum. Many of us have donated cash to keep it up and going. @WavMixer is the coding guru that makes it all happen. Yes. In the beginning it was Wav and two other guys that started this place. But the other guys wanted out and Wav couldn’t do it by himself. That’s when it became member supported.

Speaking of "Member Supported", it's that time of year again to start collecting for the 2025/2026 fees required to run this site. I'll be posting up a page for this in the near future. Last year we started collecting in June as I wanted to ensure we had all of the funds ready for October when the bills start becoming due. As I recall, I believe we had all of the funds donated within 24 hours or so.

How many $$$ is required for new members to be considered a "Supporting Member" of TTR?

I think I did $20 last year?
That's what I pay the MF to get rid of the proliferation of "sponsor" ads from the corporate owners of that whole family of "sister" forums.
I'm glad there aren't any ads here, and I'm more than glad to help this privately owned forum get the resources it needs to make this a cool place to spend my time.

Nothing is required to be a member here. Stay around long enough to make 1000 posts and you will become an ambassador. We realize that some members can't afford to chip in, that's ok. We promise not to send Guido over to break your leg. For those that find pleasure here and can afford to send a donation to help keep the lights on here, your contributions are greatly appreciated by all of the members here.

For the love of Pete, Grant. Don't take my chatter as a personal insult to you.

TTR is an awesome site and I'll be more than glad to contribute a donation to help keep it going.
I do not take this as an insult, I'm just letting y'all know that you can feel comfortable here regardless of donation status. Come on in, set a spell, take your shoes off. Y'all come back now, Hear?
