I'm still playing this ^^, but I've found my tube stash and I've been rolling tubes all day. I've ended up with a RFT in V1, a Raytheon black plate in V2, and a JJ ECC803 gold pin long plate in V3 (PI), and it's already been loaded with JJ 6550 power tubes. I don't need no stinking high gain amp, it's an absolute beast!
