A uke is a real rewiring job! This one was done as a bit of a gag and learned in about an hour. I bought a cheap Stupid Deal uke last week to mostly entertain my new grandson. For some reason I thought of this song which to my knowledge is actually played on a guitar. I did end up adding another guitar with a very period inappropriate chorus tone. The new fingerings on the uke was a bit of a brain twister.

Good job Mouse. That a electric Uke ???
'Nice job. Loved it.
I've told this story here before.... but here it is again. My youngest plays guitar and bass. Taught himself. Way better than I'll ever be. He has a couple Ukes. In the past he's played "Thunderstruck" on my guitars, so one day I challenged him to do it on the Uke. What with the odd tuning on a Uke compared to a guitar, took him a minute of two to transpose the guitar strings/notes to the Uke. Then the dang kid proceeded to play "Thunderstruck" on the Uke. Darn showoff.
He did the same thing to me in Chicago Music Exchange that involved a 12 string. But that's a story for another day.
Gets better. Both our sons are left handed. Youngest plays guitar righty rather than lefty. For a short time our eldest was learning guitar, but as a lefty. So one day my youngest picked up his guitar. Assumed the lefty position to play…. And within a few minutes was fretting with his right hand like he’d been doing it forever. Called him a show off. That's a talented kid. I know how to spell most chords and I probably could figure out the chords via that but damn it would take me a long time. I'm still not sure of the tuning yet. I know the first is a little "g".![]()
