This is a bit of a departure from the heavy stuff (which will be back on the next one ). Not played 100% exact to the recording but more trying to capture the groove and spirit.

This tune is one of those "if you know, you know" tunes as I don't think Alter Bridge is the sort of band you accidently run across. For those that may not know, band itself is Creed but minus Scott Stapp as singer (Myles Kennedy sings here). I know Creed are often as maligned a band as are Nickelback. Personally I really liked them and thought Mark Tremonti was a fine guitarist so when Creed broke up and reformed as Alter Bridge I was intrigued. Overall I think I probably like Creed a bit more but Tremonti's guitar work in AB is much better as I think he was held back a bit in Creed. This is arguably their best and most known song.

I like Tremonti, I actually have his signature PRS guitar. I like Creed, Tremonti, as for Alter Bridge, I just can’t get along with Myles voice.

That’s a pretty sweet PRS his model. I love PRS’s so I’m sure it’s a player. I completely understand on Myles voice as it seems many feel that way.

I never realized how much I loved wood grain until I bought this guitar. It helps hide dings better than paint too.
