Strat Pickups and why do I hate them?

That is until I saw this, now by the sound of this the guy doing the demo is now slouch on the guitar the recording is also very good.

I think it is double or triple tracked?
Anyhow, these Bare Knuckles have my attention.

The pups that came on my MIM Strat were Fender Noiseless. Relatively high output and A5 magnets as I recall. I didn't know any better. Sounded good to my ears. Then the neck pup died. Assuming wire broke internally because I had zero impedance. Out of warranty so no recourse but to replace on my nickel, So why not... replaced all three. Made perfect fiscal sense. Replaced with a Lollar set of Tweed Vintage pups. Lower impedance and A2 magnets. I play pretty clean compared to a lot of you here and these really work for my style. I think the first time I plugged in after the install and started playing, my first thought was..... now that's what a Strat is supposed to sound like. Didn't want to spend the cash, but am glad I did.

Cause they are generally single coil, noisy and go in a Strat?? :D
JK kids, no panties in a bunch now.

That sounds great, but what kind of processing is he using to get it to sound that good? I just want to hear the guitar through an amp and cab in a demo, otherwise it's useless.

If you don’t grok the neck pickup on a Strat, I simply don’t know what to say to ya.
It’s not that , just so far I have not heard one I like. But it also matters , I guess what you intend to play on the pickup musically.
I am not yet fully immersed in all that is Stratocaster.

Many players will just put humbucker style pickups in it and be done. Heavier sounds just don’t usually sit well. If someone says strats don’t work like that, well I am still going to try.
I don’t believe the guitar should dictate what is played on it.

The video I posted pretty much explains this at least to me anyway.

This video has more of what you are talking about. Straight in to a tube screamer and mesa. He talks until almost 2 min.
I still like the pickup.

This video of all 3 , still liking the tone clean and overdriven. Right at the end is the bridge overdriven.

This video, I watched yesterday and much like the first video is a production but I still think these are what they are built to be.

Huge respect as well to the Malmsteen cover.
