Fellow Flying V users

Our V thread has slowed to a crawl. In some other places the subject has shown some of my progress in the V department.

However, as we are approaching 7 days since the last message here on Friday, It is less than 24 hours away from my first Gib V.
As some know, I made my interest a bit more serious to the guy I bought my PRS Santana SE off. He basically dropped his price on his 2007 Faded Cherry V to where I could feel comfortable affording his V over some of the others I also wanted. I'll meet him @ 6 PM tomorrow to check it out and unless something is hugely jacked up, it will be mine.

Waiting on the edge of my seat here!!! Didn’t want to jinx it!

Been away for awhile. I run a 90 degree plug on my V, run the cord to the inside of the strap button and have the wireless unit clipped to the strap maybe 10 inches above the strap lock. Never had an issue. Doesn't get caught on anything and I move around a lot. I'll see if I can find a pic.
That's what I would do. Would need a bit o slack in the cable for sure.

Honestly, if you are standing up there is no real difference between playing a V and an SG as far as the cord goes.
But getting that V shape slung over your leg ala M Schenker means the cord has to go somewhere

The coily cord hanging straight down is a disaster waiting to happen IMO.

It would need slack to go up to the strap lock. My concern was maybe hitting it. As per...

I
I have just enough slack in the cable that if you hook the guitar over your leg the cable just moves deeper into the V.

3-1/2 more hours till you meet up with the seller, break a leg Mark.
Looking forward to the NGD thread

Made it home and unloaded groceries, guitar, briefcases etc,

All seems to check out. No Crackles or pops or gritty odd sounds etc. Feels great, action good and low, Black Winter pups definitely chug and does Sabbath, Metallica, Krokus with ease. HAHA, when Kevin was playing it at his studio some of his licks made me think of Eat the Rich!!

Short of having the playing skills of Bdon, Headache, Mitch and anyone else with a Faded Cherry V, I have the tool ( albeit not a Moon Inlay Ebony board version.
Much like my Faded Brown SG, this V rocks the same vibe and feel.
