Hurricane Milton

A storm is A-political.
People *can* make the aftermath a political topic.
People don’t have to make it a political topic…not all of them anyway.
My chainsaws have no political affiliations.
I have concerns for the people in the wake of these devastating natural disasters.
I can discuss them like any human can. I do not have to engage in the politics when doing so.

Agree totally. And sorry. I’m retired. I got nuthin better to do. :pound-hand:
 
My thing is. I personally know people affected by both hurricanes. Cousin in Knoxville. Two cousins in Charlotte. A friend of 50+ years that lives in Sarasota. Our own @DirtySteve lives very close to Asheville. Steve has witnessed first hand the devastation in Asheville. Have not heard from my cousin in Knoxville. But both Charlotte cousins have some damage…. But still have a house. My friend in Sarasota has roof damage. Water inside the house. No power so freezer has defrosted itself and dumped water on the floor. She has a mess. Oh yeah. And two years ago she suffered some damage in Ian and her sister that lives two blocks away had big damage.

So it got personal with me. And it really hit me this time and yeah…. I got on the soap box. And I don’t apologize.

I also have my own political opinion on these storms and how they have been handled or lack of handling. However this is a music forum and my opinion is... I prefer Gibson over Fender guitars.
 
The one that got me was FEMA sending 3 pallets of electric chain saws to NC
2008 Juneau Alaska where I live we had our power lines destroyed in a avalanche -20 degrees I ran on my generators for 40 days
the power company raised the power bill by 800% our drummer owns a company with electric heat got a power bill for $25,000 for one month

AS far as guitars I'm OK with most USA made guitars

Sad still no contact with my friend Brenda in SC.
 
There is nothing political about how a disaster is handled.

We had a hurricane, FEMA helped everybody who asked for help, everybody helped each other. There was no mention of politics at any time.
We had a big mess to clean up, it took years to return to a normal mode.
