A Question for Members

The neck in the photos has binding. That's why the frets don't appear to reach all the way to the edge. They may have gaps under the frets, or it could be a trick of the light.
Ok, I see that now. It matches the board.
I won't be putting it under a microscope. Lol
It is what I will use initially until it becomes a problem.
I do have another neck I can use if needed.
Blank headstock.

If you are building a Guitar, I suggest you use Warmoth parts.

I know, they are expensive. But I had good experience with mine,
and that was back in 2009
and the instrument is still excellent and has given great service all
this time.

This thread petered out a few months ago, so I'm curious about whether your tricked out neck
was usable, or if you returned it, or what.

My Warmoth build:

I built this bass in like 2009, not knowing if I could master a fretless neck or not.
But it was my dream bass. Funny, I bought the least expensive body and neck
I could. And it still was a lot. But after I did master the fretless technique, I didn't
need my fretted basses any more, and sold them in 2019 (with so much other stuff).

And I'm sure I've made hundreds of dollars playing this bass since 2009.
So she's surely paid her way. I wouldn't trade this instrument for anything.
I named her Luretta after a song by Townes Van Zandt.

If I had the money back that I spent on all my Warmoth builds over the years that didn't work out I could buy a really nice custom shop LP and probably still have some left over. It was fun and I learned a lot, but I would never take that chance again. You can pick out all the best parts and still end up with a turd, I know. I built 8 turds and one keeper.

...and I didn't even keep the keeper. :rolf2:

The last few necks I bought from Warmoth I got them without fret markers, only side dots. That's when I learned that I don't need fret markers on the board, side dots are what I look at. I didn't miss them at all and I like the look without them.

I probably have several questions but this is a vendor related question about a Reverb Vendor called " Tricked Out Guitar"

I am buying it for my "Warmoth Tele" body project.

I did another one of those things where I put in a low offer and they excepted :BH:

I would not reply to my own post but this neck is not the one I bought, thankfully.
If I gain the energy I will post it up. I think it’s on the Tele build thread somewhere.

Wow, I have always had good experience, customer service and product from them. I’ve bought 18 bodies and 15 necks from them in the last 6 years.
